Why I Built This
I created Waras AI to address the significant gap in accessible mental health support within the Indonesian community. Mental health is often a stigmatized topic, and many people hesitate to seek help due to privacy concerns and cultural pressures. My goal was to provide a safe, anonymous, and welcoming space where users could explore their feelings and get information without fear of judgment.
This project is deeply personal to me. I wanted to leverage the power of AI to offer a preliminary layer of support, available anytime and anywhere. By focusing on the Indonesian language and integrating with a trusted local health platform like Alodokter, I aimed to make the experience culturally relevant and reliable. The anonymity of the platform is a core feature, designed to break down barriers and encourage more people to take the first step in their mental health journey.
Waras AI is more than just a tech project; it's a mission-driven application designed to foster well-being. It represents my belief that technology can be a powerful force for good, creating solutions that are not only innovative but also compassionate and human-centered.
