Why I Built This
I developed Quanta to explore how AI could be ethically integrated into educational platforms like Moodle to support, rather than replace, the learning process. As a student, I saw how quizzes could sometimes be more about memorization than understanding. I wanted to create a tool that could act as an intelligent study partner, helping students verify their knowledge and understand concepts more deeply.
The primary motivation was to build an AI assistant that respects user privacy and academic integrity. Quanta is designed to be a learning aid, not a cheating tool. It helps students by providing quick access to AI-powered explanations and highlighting potential answers, encouraging them to think critically about the material. This project was a technical challenge to build a browser extension that could seamlessly interact with a complex platform like Moodle while integrating multiple AI models.
With Quanta, my goal is to push the conversation forward on how AI can be used responsibly in education. It's an experiment in creating tools that empower students and enhance their learning experience without undermining the core principles of education.
